Obituary for Mildred Aaron Turner Mildred Aaron Turner entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 24, 2018. She was born on October 4, 1927 to Mike Aaron, Sr. and Maggie Bush Aaron in Amite, LA. She was the sister of the late Clothilde Collins Zanders, William Van Aaron, Louis V. Aaron and Mike Aaron, Jr. Mildred was educated in the Tangipahoa Parish Public School.

In 1945, she married Charles Lee and they relocated to New Orleans, LA. As an adult, Mildred held a number of employment opportunities. She was baptized at Butler’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion in Amite, LA.

In the early 1950’s, she placed her membership with Petty A.M.E. Zion in New Orleans, LA. As a dedicated and faithful member, Mildred served in various capacities including the Usher Board and the choir. In 1962, Mildred was united in holy matrimony with Mack H. Turner until his death in 1996.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and spouse. She leaves to cherish precious memories a nephew, Mike Aaron, III (Mary), great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Graveside Service held at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Dr., on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 am.
