Obituary for Louvenia Robinson Louvenia Grice Robinson passed away peacefully on June 11th, 2018 in Memphis Tennessee. She was born on March 25th, 1930 in Brewton Alabama to the late Jim and Lila Grice. Louvenia left Brewton at the age of 18 and moved to New Orleans.

While there she had several occupations, and worked many years as a silk screener, licensed cosmetologist and certified nursing assistant. Louvenia had many joys in life to include cooking, gardening, reading her bible, and helping others. In 1972, she met Charles Robinson and they were united in Holy matrimony for 43 years in which they loved and cared for one another until his recent death.

Those who were closest to Louvenia will miss her wisdom, giving heart and unique way of loving others. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Robinson and eldest sister Eula Mae Grice. She is survived by sisters Mammie Ruth Floyd and Rae Helen Gains, and brother Dr. Jesse L. Grice Sr. (Queen Elizabeth); Son Leon Robinson (Joy) and daughter Anita Robinson Shepard; several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Louvenia will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her two “babies” Raymond Robinson Sr. (Jenice), and Kristel Ramsay (Mickel) who are truly eternally grateful for her prayers, sacrifice, love and support throughout the years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services at New Home Ministries, 1616 Robert C. Blakes Sr Drive, New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. The service will be officiated by Dr. Jesse L. Grice. Interment: Mt.
