Obituary for Mildred Street (White) Heaven gained a beautiful, sweet soul on Saturday (November 10, 2018) when Mildred White Street, age 68, joined her husband of forty-seven years, James Harold Street, who had been waiting for her since May 2016. Born June 18, 1950 in Rowe, Virginia, to the late James H. and Stella Blankenship White, she was born on her mother’s birthday and also Father’s Day, that particular year. Her sisters and brother always teased her that their mom should have returned her birthday present that year.

Known as Midge to family and friends, she was kind and loving to everyone. Before she became blind, she loved to crochet and read. Before Midge and Harold’s health failed them, they traveled and sang in church.

People requested them to sing in many funerals over the years. She and Harold were faithful servants of God. Midge will leave behind her children, Melina Miller and husband, Sammie of Beartown, West Virginia and Mitchell Street and wife, Tammy of Raven, Virginia; her granddaughter Melissa Perricllia and husband, James of Rowe, Virginia and grandson, John Street and wife, Jasmine of Richlands, Virginia, both of whom she adopted and raised as her own; grandson, Blake Street of Whitewood, Virginia; two great-grandsons, Braydon and Gunner Perricllia and two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Addyson Street; three step-grandchildren, Brandon Boyd, Kenneth Boyd and Brittany Cook; three sisters, Marie “Sis” Blankenship and husband, L.D. of Rowe, Virginia, Roberta Matney and husband, Donald of Bristol, Tennessee and Debra “Debbie” Horn and husband, Mack of Williamsville, Virginia; sister-in-law, Norma Keen White (her brother Earnie’s widow) of Raven, Virginia; four step-great-grandchildren and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and a host of friends also survive.
