Obituary for Monique Marie Genest Monique Marie Genest, 54 of Colchester died unexpectedly after fighting a long battle of addiction on Saturday September 29th, 2018. She was born on May 14th, 1964 in Burlington Vermont. Monique grew up in Colchester, Vermont.

She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend. The daughter of the late Robert E Genest Jr. and Gail Twombly Smith. She is predeceased by her sister Sarah Genest.

She is survived by her daughter Adelena Genest of Colchester and son Brandon Garcia of Oregon, Her brother Robert E Genest III and his companion Erin of Es Junction, Sister Kim Genest Connelly and husband Rob Connelly, step father John Smith, step mother Marion Genest, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday October 13th 2018 at the Regular Veterans Association at 84 Weaver Street, Winooski Vermont.
