Nancy Jean Santagato August 05, 1946 – November 30, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Nancy Jean (Krumrey) Santagato passed away peacefully, Friday November 30, 2018 at Journey Care in Barrington IL. with her family at her side. She was born August 5, 1946 in Waukegan, IL to Bertha and Edward Krumrey.

Nancy was baptized into the Christian faith on August 25, 1946 and made her confirmation on Palm Sunday 1960 at St John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Libertyville. She married Roger Santagato on February 5, 1970. They resided in Mundelein for over 40 years.

She was a graduate of Grayslake High School and continued her education in special education and preschool. She dedicated her life to the welfare of her students, always purring them first. She loved cooking, sewing, quilting and collecting dolls and especially loved her cats.

Nancy leaves behind her husband Roger of 48 years, loving son Justin (Andrea), loving daughter Jeana, and cherished grandson Hunter. Nancy also leaves behind her brothers Eddie Krumrey of Grayslake, IL and Donald Krumrey of Omaha Nebraska, and sister Donna Pankrich of Grayslake, IL, also nieces and nephews Kathy (Gary) Finley, Richard (Liz) Krumrey, Michael (Diana) Krumrey and Deanna Aiken. She also survived by many family and friends.

Memorial service will be held January 19, 2019 at Kristan Funeral Home 219 W Maple Ave (Rt 176 2 blocks West of Rt 45) Mundelein. Visitation 1-2 PM, memorial service 2-3 PM and gathering 3-4 PM. Burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
