Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville. He was born April 22, 1945 in Chicago and died Monday January 7, 2019 at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. Steve served our Country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Epperson DD719.

He was a graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago. Steve was the First VP of the First American Bank of Elk Grove Village. He was a member of the Mundelein American Legion #867 and Commander of the Libertyville VFW #8741.

Steve was also President of the USS Epperson Association DD719. He was an avid volleyball player, White Sox fan and Notre Dame fan. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Meyers) Kaminsky, brother in-law Ronald (Linda) Meyers, his cousin Jeannette (George Przybysz and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Kaminsky and his parents Anthony and Adeline (nee Kubecki) Kaminsky. Flowers or donations to the Libertyville VFW #8741 293 Peterson Rd. Libertyville, IL 60048 or the Mundelein American Legion #867 145 N. Seymour Ave.
