Obituary for Naomi G. Sheets RICHMOND, Ind. – Naomi G. Sheets, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, two days prior to her 89th birthday, at Heritage House of Richmond. Born April 23, 1929, in Richmond, Indiana, to Bert F. and Elizabeth Farr Freeman, Naomi was a life-long resident of Richmond.

She was a graduate of Jacksonburg High School. Naomi loved singing and dancing. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn (Norman Conder) Abbott and Rebecca (William) Spradling, both of Richmond and Vickie Fleenor of Centerville, Indiana; sons, Richard L. (Lynda) Sheets of Richmond, Jesse T. (Shirley) Sheets Jr. of Mason, Ohio, Steven Sheets of Richmond, and Jeff Sheets of Florida; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse T. Sheets Sr., who died April 13, 2002; daughter, Elizabeth Brown; parents; sisters; brothers; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law. Visitation for Naomi G. Sheets will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with her son, Richard L. Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
