Obituary for Natalie Patricia (Cook) Stack Natalie Patricia (Cook) Stack, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Bedford. Born in Baltimore MD, April 23, 1932, Natalie moved to Providence, RI in 1934 and later to Cranston, RI. She graduated from Cranston East in 1950 and worked as an Assistant Children’s Librarian at the Children’s Library, in Providence, and as the acting children’s librarian in Rochambeau Branch Library.

Natalie received her nursing license from Roger Williams General Hospital in Providence, RI. She married Thomas Spencer Stack of Long Island, NY and moved to Amesbury, MA, where she resided for 19 years. She returned to school for Religious Studies at Merrimack and Emanuel Colleges in Boston, where she obtained a certificate in Pastoral Ministry.

Natalie worked as a Religious Education Coordinator in various Rhode Island and Massachusetts parishes until retirement in 1992. For several years following retirement, she worked as a court appointed guardian for patients in nursing homes. Mrs. Stack was a lifetime member of the Secular Franciscan Order.

She is survived by 3 children; Alexander Thomas Stack of Kingston R.I, Karin Marya Silva and her husband, John M. Silva of Fairhaven, Ma and Lisa Anne Stack of San Francisco, CA; her 5 grandchildren, grandsons, Alexander T. Stack of Braintree, Spencer S. Stack of Astoria, NY, Zachariah Barros & Marcus Barros of Fairhaven and granddaughter, Syreeta Amaral and her husband, Philip Amaral of New Bedford. Calling hours are Tuesday, from 3-7pm, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00am, in Grace Church, corner of County and School Streets, New Bedford.
