Obituary for NICHOLAS P. CANESTRARE Nicholas Canestrare, 62, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Nicholas was born on June 20, 1956 in Syracuse, N.Y. He lived his life to the fullest every day, nothing shy of ordinary.

In life, Nicky chose a path that was not destined for all, yet it was his choice. Those who were kind, supportive and loving during his journey, we are grateful. We will remember the special moments, and keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

Nicky had a career with various companies in the electrical and construction field. Nick was predeceased by his father; Nicholas Sr., niece; Elaina Rose, sister; Cheryl, and brother in law; Richard. He is survived by his daughters; Jamie (Jay) and Gabrielle, three grandchildren; Julia, James and Dariel, his mother; Rose (DeSantis), seven siblings; Russell (Debra), Karen (David), Richard (Theresa), Joseph (Rosanne), Ronald (Karen), Robert (Susan), Liane (Michael) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and The Visiting Nurses Association. There will be a private celebration of life service held in his honor. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME has care of arrangements.
