Obituary for Norbert C. Holthaus Norbert C. Holthaus, 90, of Wapakoneta, passed away 10:25 p.m., Wed. May 23, 2018, at Auglaize Acres. He was born Nov.

11, 1927, in Shelby Co., the son of Henry & Elinor (Brunswick) Holthaus, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 19, 1950, he married Marian Albers, and she preceded him in death on Jan.

4, 2012. Survivors include, 2 sons, James (Violetta) Holthaus, & Gary (Helen) Holthaus, both of Wapakoneta, a special friend, Carol Williams, Wapakoneta, 2 granddaughters, Becky ( Gary) Baldosser, & Brenda (Rodney) Snavely, both of Republic, OH, 4 great grandchildren, Scott (Shana) Baldosser, Darin (Brooke) Baldosser, Nathan Snavely, & Mikayla Snavely, siblings, Harold (Pat) Holthaus, Eugene (Joyce) Holthaus, both of Ft. Loramie, OH, & Velma Mayl, Dayton, OH.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Holthaus. Norbert graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in agricultural education. He taught vocational agriculture at Sulphur Springs High School.

He then joined the Ohio State University Extension agency and assumed the position of Auglaize Co. 4H club agent. He later became the Agricultural Extension agent retiring in 1980. Additionally, he farmed for many years in the Buckland-Wapakoneta area.

He loved to travel, taking many overseas trips and was passionate about ballroom dancing. Norbert was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tues.

May 29, 2018, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

The family will receive friends 2-6 p.m., Mon. May 28, 2018, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. , (St. Rt.
