Obituary for Mr. Otho Burl Keaton Otho Burl Keaton, 78, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Starr Regional Hospital in Athens, TN. He was the husband of Sara (Pat) Smith Keaton for 59 years. A native of Seneca, SC, Mr. Keaton was born to the late Andrew Burl and Floree Hunicutt Keaton.

He retired from the School District of Oconee County as Assistant to the Director of School Maintenance. Mr. Keaton was a member of Coneross Church of God, Walhalla, SC. In addition to his wife, Mr. Keaton is survived by his son: David P. Keaton of Athens, TN; daughter: Teresa Stephens (Chris) of Athens, TN; grandchildren: Josh R. Stephens, Sarah E. Stephens and Emily G. Stephens all of Athens, TN; brothers: Troy Keaton, Palmer Keaton, and Tad Keaton all of Seneca, SC and Ronnie “Jim” Keaton of Westminster, SC; and his much loved and western-watching pup Louie and his grand dog Bella.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Keaton was preceded in death by his sister: Juanita Neal; and brother: Wayne Keaton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, September 14, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of the flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Miles Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
