Otto H. “Sonny” Herrmann III, 55, of Gloucester, beloved husband of Kelley Hosmer, passed away suddenly, at home, on Friday, December 28, 2018. Sonny was born in Malden, MA on March 29, 1963, the son of Otto H. Herrmann Jr. and the late Edith (Gendreau) Pistenmaa. He had a comedic wit and a passion for music.

He was an accomplished guitarist and music brought peace to him. He never met a soul he didn’t befriend and he had a multitude of friends who will be left to grieve his untimely passing. Sonny loved each and every one of you and you know who you are.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kelley, he was a devoted dad to his children, Romy, Maxx and Tres Herrmann and their mom Karen Herrmann, all of Gloucester, loving step-dad to Robert Hosmer of Dracut; his 2 sisters, Erikka Pistenmaa-Perkins of Nantucket, MA, Rebecca Main of Gloucester, MA; 2 brothers, Josh Herrmann of Acushnet, MA, Shawn Herrmann of Holland Patent, NY and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Sonny’s life will be held in the Spring at his childhood home at Lane’s Cove. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a worthy children’s charity.
