Pamela K. Canty, 58, of Sperry, died at 4:40 AM Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the Burlington Care Center. Born December 28, 1959, in Keosauqua, she was the daughter of James and Sharon Weller Smith. On August 30, 1976, she married Ambrose Richard Canty, they later divorced.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing yard work. She was a New England Patriots and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her mother; four sons, Adam Eric (Rebekkah) Canty of Oakville, Matthew Aaron (Linda) Canty of Blue Grass, IA, David Philip Canty of Sperry and Daniel Christian of Brooklyn, MA; Pamela Sue Canty of Mt. Pleasant and 10 other grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Cheryl Hollenbeck of Burlington, Susan Swank, Sandy Miller and Amy Miller all of West Burlington; three brothers, Ernest Miller of Farmington, Rodney Miller of Jacksonville, NC and Donald Miller both of Iowa City; one step sister, Pamela Johnson of Danville; two step brothers, Curtis Smith of North Carolina, Robert Smith of West Burlington and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Dennis Miller, and one nephew, John Miller.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. There will be no visitation or service.
