Pansy’s Obituary Pansy Ilene Cornett, age 70 of Benham, KY, entered heaven’s gates on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Cowan, KY on September 20, 1948 to the Elmer and Eva Osborne Boggs. Pansy was a retired Registered Nurse with Hazard ARH, where she had worked as a manager over the Medical/Surgical Floor.

She attended Central Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Eva Boggs; and brothers, James, Larry, and Douglas Boggs. She is survived by her husband, Henry Cornett of Gordon; children, Michael (Mia) Cornett of Benham, Shelia (late Jimmy) McArthur of Calvin, KY, Jerry (Pam) Cornett of Cumberland, and Kenneth Cornett of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Eloise (Kenny) Millspaugh of Equality, IL and Doris Tweed of Leicester, NC; grandchildren, Nick, Sawyer and Spencer Cornett, Lindsay McArthur and fiancé Mat Hunter, Logan (Katie) McArthur, Craig (Chassity) Cornett, Jacob, Erin, and Mekenzie Cornett, and Otelia and Aurora Cornett; and a host of other family and friends.

You may visit with the family on Thursday, January 24, 2019, between 6 – 8 pm in the Chapel of Tri City Funeral Home, 506 Holly Street, Benham, KY. Funeral services will be Friday, January 25, 2019, at 2 pm in the Chapel with Reverend Don Chavis officiating. Interment will follow in the Henry Cornett Cemetery in Gordon with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
