Patricia Ann Elam, 87, of Macomb, formerly of Bushnell, passed away 10:26 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. She was born on May 11, 1931 in Davenport, Iowa to Elmer and Willodine Branson Doak. She married Richard Elam on June 18, 1950.

He passed away on May 8, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Elmer Doak. Patricia is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Tom) Mueller of Taylor Ridge, Illinois; Teresa Randall of St. Louis, Missouri; one son, Jeff (Rose) Elam of Macomb; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Hamm; Susan (Jonathan) Coppess; Michael (Katie) Mueller; Erica (Alan) Blair; Christopher (Kristen) Randall; Sean (Greg Peterson) Elam; Brian Randall; and Allison (Andrew) Entrikin; nine great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter due in September; one sister, Peggy Mueller of Springfield, Illinois; and one very special niece, Candace Mueller of Springfield, Illinois.

She worked at King-Sealey in customer service and was a union steward. She went back to school at the age of 50 and received her Associate’s Degree from Spoon River College. She then worked for McDonough County United Way as an administrative assistant.

She also was an election judge for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb and a charter member of the Jolly 20 Club in Bushnell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb with Reverend Erin Marth officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church. Private burial will follow the service at Bushnell Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to Loaves and Fishes, Bushnell Library or Macomb Library.

Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
