Ruth W. Bryan, 89, of Lincoln, formerly of Macomb passed away at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln. She was born on April 10, 1929 in Industry to Harry B. and Leona Neer Soper. She married Lowell Bryan on October 27, 1956 in Macomb.

He passed away on August 26, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepson, Michael Bryan; five brothers and one sister. Ruth is survived by two sons, Paul (Beth) Bryan of Emden, Ill.

, and Dan (Janis) Bryan of Ashland, Oregon; one stepson, Ben Bryan of Naples, Florida; one stepdaughter, Lynn (David) O’Hern of St. Augustine, Florida; nine grandsons, David, Curtis (Christina), Clinton, Cole, Michael, Leonard, Matthew, Elijah and Zachary; one granddaughter, Savanna; five great-grandchildren Will, Joshua, Justin, Zeirn and Hunter and one step-great-granddaughter Tessa Nichole. Ruth graduated from Bardolph High School in 1947. She lived all of her married life in Macomb.

She worked for the McDonough County Circuit Clerk’s office for 18 years. She then worked as a legal secretary for C. Don Weston and finished her working career at McDonough County Division of Children and Family Services. She retired in 1991.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Macomb with Father Adam Stimpson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Bardolph Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy or St. Paul’s Church. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
