Mrs. Patricia Ruth Adcox Hopper, age 74, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Hopper was born July 17, 1943 in Howell, Tennessee to the late Dan “Hebrew” and Ruth Darnell Adcox. She was a 1961 graduate of Central High School in Fayetteville.

She retired from Marshall Elementary School and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Lewisburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Earl Hopper, three brothers, Charles Adcox, Danny Ray Adcox, and Randy Adcox, one sister, Roberta Adcox and son-in-law, Joe Barry Hyde. She is survived by two daughters, Lori Anne (Buster) Burrow of Lewisburg, and Melissa Hyde of Fayetteville, two sisters, Judy Flynt of Fayetteville, TN and June Cunningham of Fayetteville, NC, nine grandchildren, Dawn(Alejandro) Perez-Bautista of Lewisburg, Heather Andrews of Pulaski, Dakota (fiancé-Nicole Toseland) Hyde of Lewisburg, Colton (Kortney) Hyde of Fayetteville, Matt Hyde of Fayetteville, Kachina Lowry, Kwanita Lowry, Korenda Lowry and Kwahu Lowry, all of Tyler, Texas, great grandchildren, Hannah Jo and Caleb Christmas of Lewisburg, Isabella and Lane Hyde of Fayetteville, and a step grandson, Isaac Toseland of Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and will continue on Thursday until the funeral hour. London Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
