Burlington – Patty Elizabeth Conner Bowens, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 21, 1932 in Halifax County, VA to the late Lennie Waddell Conner and Annie Bertha Briggs Conner and was the wife of 63 years to Eugene Bowens, Jr. who died in 2015. Patty was a former employee with Burlington Industries.

She was a charter member of Friendly Lane Baptist Church where she was a former treasurer… Read More » for the adult Sunday school class and active member of the choir. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Faucette (Jay); sons, Rickey Bowens (Louise) Ronald “Ronnie” Bowens (Judy); 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Ernest, Bobby and Wade Conner; step brother, Walter Shotwell and step sister, Irene Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 step sisters and 1 step brother.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the daughters’ home. The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Friendly Lane Baptist Church by Rev.

Craig Cox with the burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and nurses at Liberty Commons and to the Hospice Home for their compassion and loving care that was shown to Patty during her illness.
