Obituary for Paul J. Reed Paul J. Reed, 75, of Lurgan, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at home. He was born September 28, 1942 in Newburg, PA. Paul was a son of the late Albert D. and Vernal E. Stine Reed.

Paul retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot and prior to that worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot, Heckman’s Electric, Rine Builders and John Patterson Plumbing & Heating. He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Shippensburg, Burt J. Asper American Legion Post # 46, and the AMVETS Post # 224, both in Chambersburg. John was a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Betty L. Leonard and her husband James of Shippensburg; two brothers, John L. Reed and his companion Myrna Simpson, both of Shippensburg, and Lynn L. Reed and his wife Dorothy of Chambersburg; a good friend, Peggy Fleming of Chambersburg; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Rev. Philip Steele officiating.
