Obituary for Peggy Dowell Murray Peggy Dowell Murray passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the age of 76, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Dec. 19, 1941, in Fulton, Kentucky, to Harold and Sylvia Morgan Dowell.

She lived all her life in Martin, Tennessee, where she acted as mother and father to her three daughters. She spent her life caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything in the world. She was retired from Martin Manufacturing Company.

She spent the last years of her life living with her daughter in Cape Girardeau. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Kaye Stabenow, Sabrina Diane (Greg) Haas and Cristy Evelyn (Robert) Bond; her grandchildren, Sean Michael Gilbertson, Emily Erin Gilbertson, Heather Marie (Mitch) Pollard and Patrick Gregory (Mary) Haas; her great-grandchildren, Ava Marie Goodwin, Cooper Riley Pollard, Kayden Gregory Haas and Khloe Elizabeth Haas; her brother, Billy “Bubba” (Jenny) Dowell, and her niece and nephew, Ginger Lee Dowell (Jay) Brasfield and Billy Gene (Meredith) Dowell Jr She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Murray Brewer; her parents, and her grandparents who raised her, Hibert “Granddaddy” and Jessie “Ducky” Dowell.

She was also preceded in death by her aunts, Agnes Boucher, Margaret Eddington, Juanita Watson and Doris (Joe) McMinn. The family will have a private tribute for Peggy. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Peggy Dowell Murray please visit our Sympathy Store.
