Phil Merkley Davis August 30, 1937 – January 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook Phil Merkley Davis, 81, of Panama City, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Panama City, FL. He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints and served as Bishop for five years.

He retired from Arizona Chemical after 41 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Ethel Davis, two brothers, Austin and Gerald Davis. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Davis and their five children, Kellie Harrison, Kay Rago, Kim Davis Sloan, Kevin Davis and Kegan Davis; seven grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; one sister, Sharron Laster; and a cherished friend, John Harrison.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 11 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6525 Lake Drive, Callaway. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
