Obituary for Phillip Riley ton, Jr. Phillip Riley ton, Jr., age 77, of Bulls Gap passed away Friday morning, October 12th, 2018. Phillip graduated from Bulls Gap High School, received an associate degree from Walters State Community College, and attended Tusculum College. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served on the USS Jamestown and was stationed in Japan for approximately a year.

He retired from BASF after 26 years of service and Dollywood after 18 years of service. He was past master of Bulls Gap Lodge #764 F&AM, Bulls Gap Chapter #471 OES, 32 Scottish Rite Mason of the Knoxville Consistory, and Jericho Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

Phillip was preceded in death by mother, Eula Kate Robinette ton, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virginia and Clay Lawson. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Minnie (Susie) ton, of the home; sons, Jerry (Kim) ton and Jason (Kristie) ton, both of Bulls Gap; grandchildren, Brittanee (Ethan) Collins, Kinlee ton, and Bonnie Morgan; sisters, Dorcus Fairchild, Gloria McLain, and Joy (Dennis) Phillips; several nieces and nephews; and very special loved ones, Summer, Jason, and Emily Carpenter and Chris, Rochelle, and Abel Baxley. Per Phillip’s wishes, his body was donated to science.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018, at Marion Robinette Memorial Church. A Memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Jason ton officiating.

A Masonic Service will precede the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rogersville Shrine Club Transportation Fund to transport children to the Shriner’s Hospital. In care of Bill Manes, 541 Kite Road, Rogersville, TN 37857.
