Obituary of Phillip Pierce Phillip Stone “Phil” Pierce, 68, of Snow Hill, died peacefully, following a short battle with cancer, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Coastal Hospice at The Lake. Born on June 9, 1949 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edward and Gladys Worley Pierce. Following high school graduation he served in the U.S. Army for five years and then started his career as a maintenance mechanic, retiring from T.E. Smith and Son,, Inc. in 2015.

Phil loved the outdoors, especially camping at Chincoteague and Trails End, VA. Phil is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia West Pierce of Snow Hill; sister-in-law, Gloria Disharoon of Salisbury; brother-in-law, Fred West and his wife Beverly of Jacksonvile, FL; close friends Curt and Pat Foraker; numerous nieces and nephews and his Bischon companion “Zack”. At Phil’s request, all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Worcester County Humane Society, 12330 Eagles Nest Rd, Berlin, MD 21811 or Liberty Church of Christ, 1313 Old Ocean City, Rd. , Salisbury, MD 21804. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
