Obituary for Phyllis Ann Sciacca Phyllis Ann Sciacca, 94, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. She was born March 11, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Vincenzo and Anna (Caliendo) Capone. Phyllis married Nicholas P. Sciacca on August 18, 1951 in St. Peter Catholic Church, South Beloit, IL.

He predeceased her on September 1, 2007. Phyllis started her working career as a model in Chicago, IL, in her early years. She then was employed by McNeany’s and Freeman Shoes.

Later in life, she was caretaker working for Home Companions and that’s where she met her special friend Lucille Lorium. She took care of her until Lucille passed. Phyllis known as “Nana” also took care of her in-laws, grandchildren, and many other children throughout the years.

She was a member of Lega Muta and Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Phyllis was dearly loved by her family and extended family and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Jelene (Jodine Saunders) Ahrens of Beloit, WI and Andrew (Ellen) Sciacca of Mishawaka, IN; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) Ahrens of Beloit, WI, Jeremy (Kelly) Ahrens of Cottage Grove, WI,, Justin Ahrens of Milwaukee, WI, Nicholas (Ashley) Sciacca of Fishers, IN, Stephanie Sciacca of Mishawaka, IN and Lisa Sciacca of Winslow, AZ; great grandchildren, Mason, Juniper, Emma, Cameron and Hazel; sister, Nancy Maratta of Pompano Beach, FL, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing for all their excellent care that they gave to Phyllis. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, James “Big Boy” Capone and three sisters. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr.

Michael Resop officiating. Inurnment will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Friday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be given in her name to Beloit Regional Hospice or Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
