Queentella “Cookie” Livings November 29, 1956 – January 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card “A life that touched many lives; a life that will live in our hearts forever” GRAND COTEAU ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau for Queentella “Cookie” Livings, age 62, the former Queentella Dugas, who passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her residence in Grand Coteau. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Queentella Marie Livings was a native and lifelong resident of Grand Coteau where she was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband of over 40 years, Joseph Livings, Sr. of Grand Coteau; two sons, James Livings and Joseph Livings (Tiara) of Florida; two daughters, Jenea Sparrow (Jamul) of New Iberia and Joline Buffalino (Philip) of Florida; four sisters, Pauline Butler (Nelson) of Grand Coteau, Khelia Jordan (Patrick) and Katy Gibson (Darrell) all of Opelousas and Brenda Dugas of Lafayette; five sisters-in-law, Debra Dugas of Grand Coteau, Patsy Livings of Cecilia, Donna Livings of Lafayette, Becky Livings of Carencro and Geraldine Livings of Lafayette; two brothers-in-law, Gabriel Livings, Jr. of Georgia and Harry Livings (Mary) of Carencro; six grandchildren, Rudy Alfred, III, Cori Alfred, Cianna Buffalino, Cayden Buffalino, Camron Livings and Anastasia Ladner; her Goddaughter, Kelly Livings of Henderson; one aunt, Linda Scott (William) of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Belle Butler; her step-father, Frank Butler; her father, Joseph Dugas; her mother-in-law, Anna Livings; her father-in-law, Gabriel Livings, Sr.; one brother, Joseph Nelson Dugas, Jr.; four brothers-in-law, Bobby, Ronald, Donald and David Livings; one sister-in-law, Fabiola Livings; her niece, Shawna Dugas; her Godson, Trayvond Butler; and two aunts, Janetta Colon and Pearl Bruno. The family requests visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the Charles Family; Carolyn Jean, Debra Dugas, and Sandra Pitre; Angie Dugas, Brian Dugas, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Kenderson and the Opelousas General Nursing Staff (3rd floor); and all who assisted in her wonderful care. Pallbearers will be Antonio Bruno, Michael Gardiner, Troy Butler, Nelson Garrick, Desmond Gardiner and Mark Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Ryan Dugas, Brian Joseph Dugas, Orlando Butler, Sr., Jacob Jordan, Albert Bruno, Jr., Joseph Butler, Robert Livings, Maceo Livings, Keno Livings, Cori Alfred, Rudy Alfred, III, Harry Livings, Blake Livings, Blaine Livings, Phil Buffalino, Patrick Bob, Thaddeus Barrier and Joshua Barrier.
