Vallad, of Chase, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids. He was 58. Randy was born August 29, 1960 in Petoskey to Harold Wesley and Daisy Louise (Crawford) Vallad.

He married Marva R. Johnson on October 18, 2003 in Camby, Indiana. Mr. Vallad worked as a carpenter, mechanic, landscaper, and truly was a “jack of all trades’. He was a lifelong Evart area resident and was a member of the Church of the First Born in Reed City.

Randy loved little children and they flocked to him with their love. He was an outdoorsman who was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, cookouts, NASCAR, and WWF. He drew his greatest enjoyment from spending time with his family.

Mr. Vallad is survived by his wife, Marva R. Vallad of Chase, his daughter, Misty Dawn (Robert) Patterson of Martinsville, Indiana, his son, Austin Edward Wayne Vallad of Chase, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, ten sisters, Roberta (Chuck) Swales of Reed City, Rhonda (Steve) Fishburn of Arkansas, Ranae Vallad of Indiana, Terry Steve) Crego of Boyne City, Yvonne Gilland of Hersey, Connie (Dick) Anderson of Reed City, Mechelle Wynn of Tennessee, Amanda (Jed) Smith of Colorado, Melissa (Joe) Marick of Colorado, Eldora (Squawker) Vallad of Big Rapids, 13 brothers, Roger Vallad of Reed City, Ronn (Dawn) Vallad of Big Rapids, Mike Caldwell of Onaway, Chuckie Baker of Boyne City, Jeff (Peggy) Jefferies of Colorado, Buck (Brandi) Vallad of Newberry, Duane (Cindy) Wynn of Indiana, Victory Wynn of Indiana, Chad Vallad of Colorado, Todd Barnett of Big Rapids, Mark (Terry) Barnett of Lansing, John (Sue) Barnett of Evart, and Steve Barnett of Evart. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dawn Cook and Tina Baldwin, and his brother, Rodney Vallad. Funeral services honoring the life of Randall Wesley Vallad will be 2:00pm Sunday, February 17th at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor Timothy P. Fagan officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon until time of services. Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Boyne City when weather permits. Memorial contributions in Randy’s name may be directed to the Corey Funeral Home to help the family offset final expenses.
