Raymond Milton Sherrick, 73, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home. Born April 25, 1945 in Ellwood City, PA he was the son of the late Milton L. and Margaret E. (Hawn) Sherrick. Ray was the loving husband of the late Martha “Marty” G. (Beebe) Sherrick, with whom he shared forty-three years of marriage until her passing on October 14, 2015.

Ray grew up in the Pittsburgh suburbs, moving with his family to Hanover as a teenager. Ray was a 1964 graduate of South Western High School and served in the Army following high school. He was a Rabbit Transit driver for the past seventeen years.

Prior to that he worked for Penguin Random House in Westminster, MD as a Main Frame Computer Operator for over thirty years. Ray Sherrick was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA. Ray’s hobbies included a love of cars, motorcycles, warm weather, animals, electronics and gadgets.

He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ray is survived by two daughters, Kimberly L. Garcia and husband Tony of Harrisburg, PA, and Trisha S. Keppler and husband Ryan of Flourtown, PA; four grandchildren, Kelly Garcia, Laurel Garcia, Garrett Garcia, and Bryce Keppler. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.

Following visitation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Ray’s life will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 14 with the Pastor David Hockman officiating. The family will receive friends at a luncheon at the Hanover Country Club following the memorial service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ray’s memory to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
