Obituary for Raymond R. Schultz NIAGARA – Raymond R. Schultz of Niagara went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19th at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI, with his loving wife Doreen at his side. He was born April 24, 1936, in Kingsford, MI, son of the late William and Anna (Tappy) Schultz. Raymond graduated from Kingsford High School at the age of 16 and moved to Chicago where he worked at various tool and die machine companies until January, 1957.
He returned to Kingsford for employment at Eagle Tool Co. Raymond was united in marriage to Doreen J. Vigo on June 29, 1957. They celebrated 61 years of a loving and happy marriage. Together they raised three children, Mark, Lori, and Craig.
Their home was always open to family and friends where many holidays and parties were held. In October 1968, Ray and his brother Floyd along with stockholders Mario Fontana, William Strand and James Harris founded Kingsford Broach and Tool, Inc. Ray and Doreen purchased Floyd’s shares ten years later and ultimately purchased the remaining shares to become the sole owners of Kingsford Broach and Tool, Inc. until March 2018, when the company was sold to their son, Mark Schultz. Raymond loved to work in his yard and his apple orchard.
He spent all his free time in the summer outside. Ray and Doreen traveled very extensively throughout most of the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. They especially liked the European river boat cruises, but made their second home in St. Maarten, in the Caribbean, since 1980 when they purchased their condo on Cupecoy Beach, where many friends will mourn his loss.
