Obituary for Julie A. Plude Julie A. Plude 78, of Iron Mountain, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2018, surrounded by her family. Julie was born on November 15, 1939 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Francis and Verna (Moreau) Nault. She has been a lifelong resident of this area and was a 1957 graduate of Iron Mountain High School.

She then attended Northern Michigan University to receive her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Julie worked for Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for over thirty seven years. She married the love of her life, the late Alden Plude on August 6, 1960 at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church in Iron Mountain.

He preceded her in death in 2012. After her retirement from the hospital in 1997, she spent many winters with her husband traveling to Bullhead City, AZ. Julie was an active member of American Martyrs Church in Kingsford.

She enjoyed shopping trips to Green Bay and spending time with friends, especially her lady friends from high school whom she remained very close with. Julie had a quiet, calm, loving nature and was loved by so many. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Mark) Hardwick of Kingsford, Timothy Plude of Green Bay, WI and Thomas Plude of Pulaski, WI; her grandson, Joseph Fox; sister in law, Joyce Nault of Iron Mountain; special cousin, Joanne LaPointe, who was like a sister to her; special friend, Patti Rosenblum; her special little dogs, Gizmo, Gracie Mae and her grand dog, Izzie, also by nieces and nephews.

In additon to her parents and husband, Julie was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Nault. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30th from 9:30am – 10:30am at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at American Martyrs Church.

Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctors McMahon, Washington and Morel, their staff and all of her caregivers at Dickinson County Hospital this past week who were so caring and compassionate.
