Obituary for Gloria L. Maracini Iron Mountain Gloria L. Maracini, 92, of Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her home. Gloria was born August 18, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Marcucci) Maracini. she was raised in Iron Mountain and was a 1944 graduate of Iron Mountain High School.

Gloria worked most of her life as the bookkeeper for Maracini and Sons Inc., a three generation local cabinet manufacturing company. She retired when the company stopped operating . While working, she was active in several civic organizations including serving as past president of the Iron Mountain Business and Professional Women’s Assoc.

Gloria travelled extensively in the United States and abroad. She loved to golf and enjoyed bowling. Gloria is survived by many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Joseph Maracini; special friend and caregiver, Lori Garbrecht; special great nephews and nieces, John and Jeff Maracini, Ann Lindeman, Kerri Maracini, Billy and Andrew Gribble.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Elmo and Roy Maracini. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mary’s name at alz.org/gmc Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 17th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Erickson Rochon Nash funeral home.

Funeral services will follow at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate.
