Raymond Schmitt passed away September 20, 2018 at home and in his favorite chair. He was born March 8, 1944, the last child born to Ralph Schmitt and Julia Hanfelt . He married Marjorie Seppa Cameron on March 18, 1978 in Panama City FL.

He was a Roman Catholic. Ray took great joy in following a good dog through a field full of pheasants or grouse. He was proud of his successful 23 year Air Force career, but he was most proud of legally adopting Marj’s three sons, raising them as his own, and seeing the wonderful, responsible men they have become.

He is survived by his wife: 3 sons: Mike (Trish), Jeff, and Randall (Tanya); grandchildren: Thomas, Aidan, Mason, Brisco, Grace, Nethanell, Kurstin, and Bekah; also by his sister, Shirley Schuster (Dubuque IA) and special Goddaughter, Rindy Flores of Queen Creek, Arizona; numerous friends, nieces and nephews. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm with Military Honors at 7:30 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
