Obituary of Rebecca Ladwig Rebecca Nell (Castillo) Ladwig, 73, Marion, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, in Marion General Hospital, following a short illness. She was surrounded by her daughters when she went to be with her heavenly Father. She was born in Marion on March 12, 1945, and married Richard D. Ladwig on June 26, 1970.

Rebecca was a graduate of Indiana University-Kokomo nursing program and received her R.N. degree in 1996. She retired from the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Marion in 2016. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and following all of their activities.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Richard Ladwig; daughters, Kim Oliver, Marion, Nan McKim, Fort Wayne, Lezlie (Craig) Winter, Gas City, and Robin Green, Anderson; grandchildren, Chris McKim, Fort Wayne, John Oliver, Marion, Kristen Green, Seattle, Washington, Jacqueline Green, Fishers, and Alex Winter, Gas City; two great-grandchildren, Gabe and Zain Green; sister, Dee (Jim) Simpson; sister-in-law, Judy Castillo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John (Rosemary) Castillo, and her brother, John Castillo, Jr.. The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave.

, Marion, IN. Following the visitation, Rebecca’s funeral service will be held at 12 noon at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1031 W. Kem Rd. , Marion.

Father Christopher Roberts will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Cancer Services of Grant County, Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton Ave. , Marion, IN 46952.
