Obituary for Rena Goad (Halcomb) Rena M Goad, 95, of Rensselaer, IN passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer – AlternaCare. She was born in Faubush, KY on Oct.

22, 1922, the daughter of Marvin Halcomb and Mattie (Weddle) Halcomb. She was a graduate of Boswell High School, Class of 1940. On July 5, 1952, in Fowler, IN she married Emil M. Goad.

He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2010. Rena worked for Production Farm Credit.

She was an Indiana licensed Tax Accountant for 35 years. She was a member of Hope Community Church in Rensselaer, as well as the Harmony Homemakers, Literary Club, Bunco Club and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean.

Rena is survived by her two children, Steve Goad of Nesbit, MS and Emily (Jeffery) Farley of Otterbein, IN; grandchildren: Alaina (Michael) Unger and their son Raiden Unger of Fishers, IN, Alexander Farley and his son Hunter Davies of Lafayette, IN, and Reece Farley of Otterbein, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Mattie Halcomb, and her husband, Emil M. Goad. Private graveside services will take place at Weston Cemetery.
