Reuben’s Obituary Reuben “Philip” Anders, 65, of Washington Crossing, PA; formerly of Fairless Hill, PA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster. He was the loving husband of Donna Lee (Bishop) Anders for 41 years. Phil was born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania to Reuben D. Anders of Langhorne, PA and the late Margaret Mae (Crouthamel) Anders.

He graduated from Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA, class of 1973. Phil also attended Bucks County Technical School. He worked as a manager for Anders Sanitation in Morrisville, PA, as a truck driver for Craig Zucker in Langhorne, PA, as a mechanic for Bucks County Artesian Well Drilling Company, Inc. in Washington Crossing, as a self-employed mechanic serving the Langhorne area under the name “Anders Truck Repair”, and as truck driver/mechanic for TDS Concrete in Feasterville, PA.

Phil was a former member of the Pennsylvania Independent Waste Haulers Association. He was a member of Grace Point where he served as an elder, an usher, was part of the prayer chain, and maintained the church buses and vans. Phil enjoyed antique cars, farming, gardening, hunting, and riding bicycles with his family.

In his teenage years, he rode with Outspoken where he rode bicycle across America from Lincoln City, OR to the New England States (East Coast) and another ride from Bridgewater Corners, VT to Blooming Glen, PA. Phil loved his WAWA coffee and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed annual family trips to Lancaster and a special trip to Germany/Switzerland with his parents and his brother, Larry.

Phil was a hardworking, reserved man who loved to talk and had a good sense of humor. He was a dedicated Christian who was always willing to share his testimony and would personally pray for anybody. Phil was always willing to help others in need.

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by his son, Reuben Philip Anders II of Washington Crossing, PA; his daughter, Alicia Lee (Anders) Musa & husband, Jeffrey of Washington Crossing, PA; his two brothers, Larry Lee Anders & wife, Joyce of Souderton, PA, John Thomas Anders & wife, Cheryl of Langhorne, PA; and his three sisters, Judy Renee Benner of Souderton, PA, Margaret Dolores Ziaylek & husband, Theodore of Yardley, PA, Rebecca Ann Smith & husband, Richard of Morrisville, PA. In addition to his mother, Phil was preceded in death by his brother, John Ivan Anders and his brother-in-law, Ralph Benner. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Grace Point, 592 Washington Crossing Rd, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 pm.
