Obituary for Rev Dwayne Stapleton Rev. Dwayne Stapleton, 76, of Anderson, passed away on June 17, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born on August 28, 1941 in Harlan County, Kentucky and resided most of his life in Anderson.

He retired as a Meat Cutter after 25 years, and then as a Truck Driver after 15 years. He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church, Madison #44 F. & A.M. in Pendleton, and Lapel #625 F. & A.M., where he was Past Master. He loved to garden, his cat Rollie, feeding the squirrels, reading, and spending time with his family.

Dwayne is survived by his sons, David Stapleton, Dan (Tammy) Stapleton, Don (Maria) Stapleton; brother, Walter (Wanda) Stapleton, grandchildren, Amanda Stapleton, Elliot Stapleton, John Paul (Renee’) Stapleton, Daniel Stapleton, Dallas Stapleton; great-granddaughter, Bailey Sky Stapleton; special friend, Barbara Taylor, and her family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Stapleton; mother, Thelma Stapleton, father, Elmer Stapleton; sisters, Alma Jean Stapleton, and, Kathy Justice. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.

Masonic Funeral Rites will be performed at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, by Lapel Masonic Lodge #625 F. & A.M. with the funeral service to follow immediately at the funeral home, with Pastor Hervey Lawrence officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
