A gathering of friends for Richard Campbell, age 65 of Hawkins, Texas, is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Richard passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. He was born May 18, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Robert and Alma (Harris) Campbell.

Richard was a Brownsboro High School graduate in 1972. He has lived in Hawkins, Texas for the last 3 years and prior to that Lindale, Texas for 30 years. Richard worked throughout his life as a truckdriver.

He was a music enthusiast and particularly loved listening to Elvis Presley. Richard also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and spending time with his beloved family. He is preceded in death by wife, Cathie (Beavers) Campbell in 2015 and a daughter, Christa Campbell in 2017.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Campbell of Hawkins, Texas, sons, Justin Campbell and wife, Ashley of Winona, Texas, Daniel Barnett and wife Elise of Gladewater, Texas; daughters, Jessica Stewart and husband, Adam of Troup, Texas, Christine Kemp and husband, Cody of Palestine, Texas, and Mary Pinckard of Hawkins, Texas; six grandchildren and one on the way.
