Obituary for Richard Norman Baker Richard Norman Baker, 88, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home. He was born October 14, 1929 in Montgomery, Illinois to the late Byron and Minnie (Goble) Baker. Richard and Yonne Montavon were married May 9, 1953 in DeKalb, Illinois.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a home landscaper. Richard loved to fish, golf, play video games, work crossword puzzles and enjoyed sushi, but most of all he loved his family. He attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include wife, Yonne Montavon Baker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; six children, 14 grandchildren, Michael (Doris) Baker and their children, Sean and Eric; Scott (Jan) Baker and their children, Charlie, Scottie, Jeremy, Michelle and Christina; Julie Caplan and her children, Hope and Matthew; Laurel Baker; Sharon (Robert) Ragusin and their children, Kyle and Austin; Michelle (Gary) Fogle and their children, Danielle, Morgan and Dylan; 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Laurie Baker; granddaughter, Jennifer Baker, three brothers. Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, 2018 from noon until 1:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt.

Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Mark Kiblinger officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery, Illinois.
