Richard M. Hartman, 85, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 6:15 am in Manor Health Care, Laureldale. He was the husband of Mary A. (Cheri) Hartman and was preceded in death by his first wife Sondra D. (Snyder) Hartman who passed away July 26, 1994. Born in Reading, Mr. Hartman was the son of the late Mahlon H. and Margaret A. (Hummel) Hartman.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a project engineer at Exide. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hartman is survived by his son Richard M. Hartman, Jr. husband of Deborah A. Hartman of Blandon; his daughter Debra A. Hannahoe, wife of Rodney D. Hannahoe of Exeter Township and step daughters Linda A. Christel, wife of Dennis W. Christel of Reading and Cynthia L. Stamm, wife of Larry Stamm of Reading and 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Reverend Robert T. Finlan will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Friday 12:00-1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Legion, Donation Processing, PO Box 1954, Indianapolis, IN 46206 in memory of Mr. Richard M. Hartman. Online condolences may be made at www.
