Obituary for John J. “Jack” Ward Jr. Print John J. Ward Jr.,79, also known as “Jack”, beloved husband of Frances G. Harriman Ward, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Born in Meriden on October 18, 1939, he was the son of the late John J. and Cynthia E. (Hart) Ward. Jack was a lifelong Meriden resident and graduated from Meriden High School.

Mr. Ward was employed by the State of CT. Department of Transportation until his retirement. He was a parishioner of Holy Angel Church and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by three daughters; Deborah Brooks, Lisa and Mary Ward, a son, Bryan Ward, nine grandchildren; Sarah (Dave), Jessica, Kenneth (Catie), Stephanie, Kyle, Christina, John J., Austin and Zachary, three great grandchildren; Samantha, Mikaela and Sinha and a sister, Carol Morton (Tom). He was predeceased by his twin son, John J Ward. All services are private.

The John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden is entrusted with the arrangements.
