Obituary for Luz M. Carrero (Chaparro) Luz M. Carrero, 68, beloved wife of Manuel Carrero, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on August 4, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Geronimo Chaparro and Celsa Gonzalez. Mrs. Carrero was a longtime Meriden resident and graduated from the University InterAmerican of Aguadilla, PR.

She was employed by Manny’s Cleaning Services until her retirements in 2005. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Liz M. Torres, her two sons, Angel Carrero and Hector Torres, six grandchildren Nathaniel and Rayna Torres, Kaylee and Talia Lopez and Angel Xavier and Angel Javier Carrero, Jr. and one great granddaughter, Annalisse Gomez. She is also survived by a sister, Anita Chaparro and four brothers, Anibal, Ruben, Geremias and David Chaparro and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
