Richard Rodriguez June 26, 1936 – April 28, 2018 Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Richard Rodriguez, “Nonno”, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81 on April 28, 2018. Richard was born on June 26, 1936 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Antonio and Juanita Rodriguez. He graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1955.

Richard married Maria Guidolin in her hometown of Mourmelon-le-Petit, France on January 19, 1963. Richard and Maria recently celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary. Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1976.

During his career he was stationed in Germany, Italy, France, Colorado, Nevada, Vietnam, and Korea. Richard enjoyed traveling around Europe and visiting new places. In their 55 years of marriage, Richard and Maria lived in Mourmelon-le-Petit, France; Hunsruck, Germany; Porcia, Italy; Denver, Colorado; Las Vegas, Nevada; Star, Idaho; Ogden and currently Harrisville, Utah.

Richard’s greatest treasure is his family. He is survived by his wife Maria; children, Stella (Graham) Ehmann and Paul Rodriguez; grandchildren, James (Charlee) Gallegos; their daughters, Rilee and Luna; Kyle (Megan) Gallegos; Nicholas Ehmann; Brendon Ehmann; and Sayge and Jesse Rodriguez; sisters, Julia Skiles and Ella (Silas) Yeager; brothers, Gus (Mary) Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Bessie Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Homer Rodriguez and Jesse Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Ruby Rodriguez; nephews, Pierre, Dallas (Dollar), Everett; and niece, Kathy.

Our family would like to express a special “Thank You! ” to all of our friends, family, neighbors, and Intermountain Hospice Homecare for the love, compassion, friendship, and support you have given us. We will miss you and we love you, Nonno.

Until we meet again…. . A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E 2850 N St, Ogden.
