Obituary for Rita Marlow Dresser Rita Marlow Dresser, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday, June 9th, 2018. She was born in St. Louis on October 18, 1932 to the late Martin and Roena Schwab. Rita graduated from Maplewood High School and was Queen of the Senior Farewell Dance.

She attended Washington University. There she met and fell in love with Emerson Dresser II and soon turned down a contract with The Rockets to be married and start a family. A longtime member of Central Presbyterian Church, she loved living on her farm near Greensfelder Park and caring for the horses, dogs, and barn kitties.

Rita loved to dance, sing, and do acrobats. Her faith in Jesus was her main anchor through great times and hard times. MS entered her life at age 41, yet, it did not stop her from living life to the fullest.

Rita would always say “I love the Lord Jesus with my whole heart”. A warm thank you to her Aunt Anna Jenkins (deceased)who cared for Rita’s end of life needs so lovingly. Rita is survived by her four children, Emerson Dresser III, of Delray Beach, FL; Paul Dresser, of Godfrey, IL; Cherie LeFort, of Kirkwood; and Bruce Dresser, of Pacific.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sister/sister-in-law to Marty Schwab (big brother deceased) and Sue. Sister-in-law to Marion Dresser (Spike) and Rosie.

Funeral Services: arrangements are being handled by Chapel Hill Mortuary-Kirkwood MO, 10301 Big Bend Road, St. Louis, MO 63122. Family has chosen a private celebration of life on June 14th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rita’s name may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital for MS Research.
