Obituary for Robert Bennett Robert M. Bennett (Bert), age 60 of Gaithersburg, MD passed away July 1, 2018. He was born July 15, 1957 in Washington, D.C. Robert worked in the service management automotive business and later became a traveling consultant in the automotive service industry. Robert was an amazing pitcher for the infamous Grim Reapers softball team for over 25 years, a charter member of the Myrtle Beach golf squad since 1999, and a Master Angler.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bennett, and survived by his mother, LaNita Lemm Bennett, siblings Karen Bennett Silverstein (Bob), Janet Bennett Ford (John), Frank Bennett (Mary), David Bennett (Renee), Kenneth Bennett, Richard Bennett (Sheri), Timothy Bennett (Kim), Gretchen Bennett Harris (Matt), and children Jennifer Bennett Rogers (Dino) and Jesse Bennett (Danielle). He is also survived by numerous adoring nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michaels Rd, Mount Airy, MD 21771.
