Robert Franklin Ware, Sr., 65, of S. Harding Ave, Kannapolis, NC passed away February 8, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1953 in Cabarrus County to the late Ernest Ware, Sr. and the late Essie Mackins Ware. Robert was educated in the Kannapolis City School System.

He was formerly employed with Linn-Corriher Mills. Robert attended Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Salisbury.

He was a member of the King Ahasuerus Lodge 127 Shriner. Services will be held Friday, February 15, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 923 Indiana St., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be at 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Essie Davis; four sisters, Elizabeth Ware, Mary Ellen Smith, Mary Helen Ware and Ola Mae Ware. Those left to cherish fond memories include his two sons, Robert F. Ware, Jr. of China Grove and Milton Ware of Concord; two daughters, Topeca Knox of Kannapolis and Lindsey Ware of China Grove; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Curtis Ware and Ernest Ware, Jr.; adopted children, Lyn Robinson, Kendra Wilson, Lindsay Sheely Evans; niece, Audrey Drye; nephew, Duncan Daye, Jr. and girlfriend, Edna Coleman of Lexington, NC and a host of cousins and friends.
