Robert L. Anderson Lansing Age 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in the comfort of his home and with his family by his side after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born August 26, 1948 to John and Anna (Thoele) Anderson in Lansing, Michigan. Robert honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He went on to work for General Motors where he later retired from the Service Parts & Operations Department and was a member of the UAW Local… Read More » 1753. Robert was a big MSU fan who enjoyed attending football and basketball games. He also liked going to watch the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.

Most of all, Robert was a family man who especially loved spending time with his granddaughters and watching them dance. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother-in-law, Monte Montgomery. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Janice Anderson; son, Robert Anderson; daughter, Bridgit (Mike) Kerber; granddaughters, Chloe Anderson, Caylee Kerber-Anderson; brother, John (Janice) Anderson; sisters, Karen Montgomery, Cheryl (Tom) Moorhead; grand dog, Max as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice and Home Care Foundation in Robert’s name.
