Robert Lewis Greene, 81, of Zanesville, passed away July 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 14, 1937 in Zanesville, son of the late, Charles W. Greene and Dorothy Holbert Greene. He was a member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He retired from the city of Zanesville as Director of Community Development. He is survived by his wife, Martha Susan Adams Greene; children, Charles Greene, Seth Greene, Emily (Taris) Houston, Matthew (Deana) Greene, Abigail Greene, Amy (Joshua) Shaver, Jared Greene, Elizabeth (Michael) Kahler; sister, Ruth Anne Greene; niece, Marlana (Quinn) Carter; grandchildren, Lakin, Caleb, Jada, Hunter, Breaunna, Bradyn, Kohen, Aiden; great-grandchild, Seth. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Braun.

A dignified cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. August 4, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1705 Pine Street Zanesville, OH 43701. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses at apps.
