Obituary for Robert Suskovic Robert “Bob” Suskovic, 94, of Lake City, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Lake City Care Center. He was born September 22, 1924, in Red Wing to Adolf and Myrtle (Tyler) Suskovic. He graduated in 1942 from Red Wing Central High School.

He attended Bradley College for Watchmaking in Peoria, Illinois and served in the US Navy. In September of 1945 he opened up his first store Suskovic Jewelers in Lake City. On November 20, 1946, he married Mary Koller in Northwood, Iowa and they lived in Lake City.

They were partners in Suskovic Jewelers of Lake City and Rochester for 46 Years. Mary died on December 9, 1999. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed his cats, gardening, recording and watching his classic movie collection.

Survivors include his three daughters, Jolee Suskovic of Minneapolis, Judee (Bill) Larson-Hogan of Minneapolis and Jeannie (Paul) Joas of Edina; two grandchildren, Christopher Larson and Jennifer Guimond; two step grandchildren, Brittany (Danny) Kantar and Ariel (Sam) Jensch; three great grandchildren, Hues, Paige and Lillian; one brother, Richard (Pat) Suskovic of Austin; one sister, Iva Lea Wanner of Edina and nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife and son in law, Randy Larson. A private family service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, in Lake City.

Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
