Robert Vernon Otis, aged 90, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Suncrest Assisted Living. Robert was born on June 24, 1928 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late Austin Otis and Elva Pelky. Robert loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his children Lawrence (Rebecca) Otis, Janet Deja, Carol Gains, Lori Ann (Matthew) Ruark, 8 Grandchildren: Nicole Yaeger, Brian Deja, Michelle (Tim) Reiter, Rachel (Evan) Danielsen, Callie Stanwyck, William Ringo, Robert Ringo, and Dylan Ruark and 5 Great-Grandchildren Mia, Adam, Evalynn, Isabella and Charlotte. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine, daughter Valerie Stanwyck, a grandson Gary Daniel Gains, and 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Robert was a Lather in the construction business for many years.
