Ann Frances Ridout, 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 following a short but tough fight with cancer. She was the widow of Richard T. Ridout and they shared many years of marriage together. Born in Ann Arbor Michigan, she was the daughter of Leo and Maxine Hoppe.

She was an Alumni of Ann Arbor High School (Pioneer) and retired from the University of Michigan Preservation and Conservation at the UU Library. She is survived by her children, Lori Elaine Ridout (Les), Sheri Denise Samaha (Waleed); her grandchildren, Tanisha Nicole Cole (Byron), Eric Brandon Ridout (Claire), Jaimey Floyd, Adam Samaha, Leslie Dottery and Whitney Floyd; her great grandchildren, Byron, Travis, Eric and McKenzie; her sister-in-law, Marcella Barber (John); her goddaughter, Katrina Burton; and family friend, Kelly Taylor Mosley. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard T. Ridout; sister-in-law, Shelia Hagan; father-in-law, Richard Ridout; and her parents, Leo and Maxine. It is important to know that her laughter came from all of her friends that touched her journey through high school, Ypsilanti neighborhoods, Woodlawn Street, University of Michigan and those that stopped by Colonial Squares to check on her.
