Derek Alexander Wyatt Obituary Photo

Derek Alexander Wyatt passed away peacefully at his new home in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 43. A loving son, brother, friend, and self-described “silly guy”. His heart was larger than life, bursting with love for his family and friends.

He was the son of Katherine & Rudolph Wyatt, the younger brother to Clinton Wyatt, and older brother to Victoria, David, Diana, Ryan and Alexandra Wyatt. An accomplished artist, a champion swimmer, and a voracious spirit. He loved cats, adventure, vampires, and making others laugh.

A skilled chef and a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army with tours in Afghanistan. His absence leaves this world a bit dimmer, but his sparkle, which radiates in the hearts of those he loved, will guide him on his next adventure. Those he encounters in his next ride will be lucky souls; we know we were.

In lieu of a memorial service, there will be a Going Away Gathering on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Bona Sera (200 W. Michigan Ave. , Ypsilanti, MI 48197). To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Derek Alexander Wyatt please visit our Sympathy Store.
